Barra Bunting up for an award

.

.

The Barra Bunting Project, which started in March 2012 with assistance from CNES Arts Revenue Grant, has been shotlisted for for an Epic Award.

The project, which ran bunting workshops throughout the summer and collected flags from all round the world, launched the bunting in September 2012 at the Barra and Vatersay Annual Produce Show. The flags are now available to other local groups to decorate their events. The team are delighted to be shorlisted for an Epic Award, which recognises community craft projects.

Workshops will soon be up and running again for 2013 and the next Big Stitch Up will be in March. If you have set foot on Barra and haven’t done your flag yet then get it in before the end of March and it will be added to the rest.

The winner on the Epic Award will be determined by a public online vote which can be found at epicawards.co.uk/shortlist
