THE 'NG Explorer' has made an unscheduled stop at Stornoway while on passage from Staffa to Inverue.
The vessel – with 119 on board - was diverted to Stornoway when one of her passengers became unwell and it was decided that they would disembark, giving those on board a look around the town.

After it leaves Stornoway later this morning, the boat
– with mostly Americans on board – will continue to Inverue.
The National Geographic Explorer made a short stop in Stornoway this moring seeking treatment for a passenger.  It left port at 11am to continue its journey to Inverue.

The vessel, with a gross tonnage of 6471, started its voyage from Dartmouth on June 11 and has travelled to the Scilly Isles, Ireland, St Kilda, Iona, and Staffa.
