IN THE ever increasing market of female fronted bands, Doll and the Kicks are quickly sealing their place as heads of alternative indie-pop masters.
Since playing at Glastonbury Festival in 2007, the band's popularity has rocketed and spread their music far beyond the boundaries of their Brighton based support.
And the fact that their first ever major tour was that of an envious support slot to Morrissey last year proves the band's potential.
The band will play in Lewis this month and it will be their first appearance to the island. "I've never even been to Stornoway," states lead Doll, adding: "The closest we ever got to was Ullapool but (Guitarist) Matt is really looking forward to it as he has a lot of family up in Scotland."
Doll and the Kicks, with support from Murderers of Love, will be performing at the Woodlands Centre, Stornoway, on Friday February 19.
