ONE of Scotland's hottest new bands is coming to Lewis – and Kitty the Lion come with a roar that is uniquely fierce.
"We're really looking forward to it," says lead, Anna Meldrum, of the upcoming gig.

"I have family up there and visited there once when I was about seven. I've also heard a lot of good things about the Islands culture – especially the nightlife!"

Hailing from Glasgow, the band came together just under a year ago and has already budged its way into Vic Galloways' top 50 'Bands to Watch' for 2010.

Another notable fan of the band is radio presenter Jim Gellatly of 'RadioMagnetic' who also named them as a band to watch this year as well as adding their track 'Lion in Bed' to his playlist.

Kitty the Lion will play Era, Stornoway, on Friday February 19. And read a full interview with the band in this week's Stornoway Gazette, out on Thursday, February 11.
