Re your report regarding the Western Isles Health Board, I find it appaling that the members of the Board are willing to adopt a lackadaisical approach of finger pointing and are unwilling to accept responsibility for their actions.
Three Chief Executives? How much is that costing and how many empty beds does it equate to?
I think it is high time that the Western Isles Health Board was disbanded and people with a sound mind that can actually accept reality be elected in a democratic way by the people of the Western Isles.
Backroom appointees don't work. It is a shame that the situation has got out of hand. How can doctors and nurses thrive in such an atmosphere when the decision makers are squabbling amongst themselves?
Meanwhile, three Chief Executives are draining salaries and perks in excess of £100k a year. It is about time the buck stopped.
