I wonder what next for Lewis Wind power?
As I travel in my work to various locations throughout the world I have seen wind farms located safely and well out of the way where only the odd seagull might stop for a break.
What I'm saying is that I have seen banks and banks of turbines located offshore in Holland, Egypt, Africa, and now Singapore.
Why should we in Lewis and Harris be any different? I guess it's always down to pounds shillings and pence, so it's ok to tear the moors of Lewis to shreds to locate tubines so that companies can seriously profit, well why not locate turbines in the Atlantic?
No moors or folk there, but I guess that the initial cost would be a little more expensive.
I don't know if it's been looked into but if other countries can do it, why can't we?

Maybe you are missing the point Sir. Perhaps we should be looking first to reorganise our lives so that we all use less energy, consume and waste less.
