IT’S been an incredible 2012, in which the 21 year old folk noir balladeer Rachel Sermanni played over 150 spellbinding shows across Asia, North America and including her first headlining tours of the UK and Europe; and saw the release of Rachel’s debut album ‘Under Mountains’ to critical acclaim.

And Highland born Rachel starts 2013 with the release of her beautiful acoustic version of Robert Burns ‘Ae Fond Kiss’ next Friday (January 25th), Burns Night, on Middle of Nowhere Recordings.

A long time favourite of Rachel’s live shows, this stripped back, haunting, acoustic version showcases Rachel’s vocal talents to the full.

And all profits from the sale of the CD are going to Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy in Scotland (NRMTS).

Donald MacLeod, Chairman of NRMTS Fundraising Committee, said: “We are delighted and honoured that Rachel has chosen Nordoff-Music Therapy in Scotland as the beneficiary for this beautiful version of Ae Fond Kiss.

“Not only is it a wonderful way to celebrate our Bard’s birthday, it will also raise vital funds for our charity which provides music therapy to children and adults across Scotland.

“And every note raised in Scotland, stays in Scotland,” he added.
