THE FESTIVE fun continues in the Western Isles as tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 2nd) Scots band ‘Skerryvore’ return for another memorable foot-stomping show in the newly refurbished Stornoway Town Hall.

Brought to the island by Syber Promotions, as part of the Skerryvore World of Chances winter tour, the company’s Iain Macphail said: “I cannot imagine a better way to round off the New Year celebrations – great people, brilliant music and a wee dram all in the one place!”

And also bringing their musical cheer on tour to the islands this winter are popular Scots group Manran who will perform in Balivanch Hall, Benbecula tomorrow night (Wednesday, January 2nd) and at Barvas Hall, Lewis, on Thursday (January 3rd).

“We ain’t been up to the islands for a while so we’re definitely looking forward to it,” said Manran piper Ewen Henderson

“It’s a different audience. You’re playing to a hall filled with folk who know the music, but it’s also a place where the roots of the music are, playing in the islands is special for these reasons.”
