There will also be a further cinema screening in Oban on April 18 along with a Q & A session with acclaimed filmmakers Nigel Pope (Big Cat Diary) and Doug Anderson (Frozen Planet) who are part of the production team on Hebrides.

Susie Miller, BBC Scotland’s event co-ordinator: “We anticipate there will be great local interest in the series, so we thought it would be good to recognise not only that interest but also recognise the help and co-operation of the local communities by giving them a them an advance preview ahead of the rest of the country.

“We have never undertaken such a widespread and localised session of advance screenings before and it would be help us greatly if people can be specific about which location they are requesting, the number of tickets they wish and their contact details when they get in touch for tickets.”

Tickets for the events have to be pre-booked and the BBC system for bookings will go ‘live’ on today (Friday, March 22).
