READY to ‘REALLY’ let their hair down as they say farewell to 2012 are popular Lewis band Face The West as they prepare to launch their third album – The Young Fear Nothing – at An Lanntair tonight (Friday, December 28th), before an end of year finale in the Tarbert Community Centre on Monday, December 31st.

“We’re expecting a massive crowd and to REALLY let our hair down and go crazy for the last two gigs!” says Face the West frontman Keith Morrison.

“An Lanntair is our favourite venue. Period. Everything from the acoustics, lighting, sound system, the incredibly talented and accommodating staff to the space on stage to really allow us to perform to the best of our ability.
“I can honestly say we wouldn’t be the band we are without having a venue like An Lanntair to aspire to play at.”

Established by Keith as a 15 year old school boy, Face the West have seen a number of line-up changes over the years, but what’s remained throughout has been an enthusiastic and youthful view of the world.

And that’s just what’s on offer with ‘The Young Fear Nothing’, as Keith expands: “It’s always been a massive thrill for us to play and we want the crowd to feel how we feel.

“This is why the album is so upbeat and approachable. To say we are happy with this one is an understatement – it was hard to make in a technical sense, but very enjoyable as it flowed very well in a creative sense.

“Children don’t care about war, politics or gossip. They care about Spiderman or Barbies. Sometimes it’s better just to focus on what makes yourself and others happy – this is what the new album is about.”
