NORTHERN Constabulary Community Safety Officers are to attend a machinery sale at Dingwall Auction Mart this Saturday, August 11th, where they hope to recruit more members of the rural community to their successful Farm Watch scheme.
The Farm Watch scheme allows a flow of information to and from the farming community.
This enables communication regarding incidents in the rural area and encourages them to remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour.
Community Safety Officer Constable Angie Grant-Omotosho stated: “Farm Watch gives us a way of uniting with hundreds of farmers to ensure that our rural communities are not a soft target for criminals.
“At Dingwall, as well as telling farmers about the scheme, we’ll also have information about property marking and be giving people the opportunity to experience our seatbelt convincer.”
Should anyone wish further information regarding Farm Watch, contact the local Community Safety Officer for your area on 0845 600 5703.
