Ullapool bride to be thought all she had to worry about for her big day was getting to the church on time, but now doesn’t know if she will have anything to wear!
Nicki Morrison is due to marry her long term partner David Elliot on Friday the 13th September.
She explained: “I didn’t pay attention to the date as believed that our special day would be the best no matter what the date, but now I am beginning to regret that!
“I always felt that a wedding dress shouldn’t be paid for by the groom, so I saved myself for over two years and found what I thought was the perfect dress in Glasgow.
“After two trips to Glasgow getting fitted, I was meant to be collecting the dress in just over a week but instead I received the shocking news that the business has stopped trading and my dress and money have vanished!”
Nicki saved over £1,000 for her special dress but all she has to show for it is her veil and it looks unlikely that the Bridal shop will be offering any refund. With less than ten weeks to go, the search is now on for a new dress. Nicki said: “I don’t know how we will find the money but I am determined to make this a special day regardless.”
