THE Jock the Reaper Stage returns to Belladrum this weekend with a blistering line up featuring a diverse range of acts mixing contemporary electronic music with a more traditional celtic twist.
Jock the Reaper was once a steady old yellow New Holland combine harvester which has now morphed into a matt black bad-ass Celtic electro fusion dance platform.
“It’s kind of Mad Max in a tartan bunnet meets the Wurzels in Ibiza,” says promoter Joe Gibbs.
This years line up features UACHDARFIELDS w/Mykol Blyth + Alan Macpherson, Big Fat Electric Ceilidh Bands; Niteworks (DJ set); Halycon; Phono; Them & Us; Grouse Beater Sound Systems; Niteworks (Live); the LED, and finally Naked Stranger and Elephant Sessions.
Bella’s line up includes headliners and Scots indie stars Travis and Liverpool rockers The Wombats plus numerous other acts including: Legendary punk heroes The Buzzcocks; celebrated 80s band The South (formerly The Beautiful South); UK award-winning queen of soul Beverly Knight; and Glasgow based indie rockers Frightened Rabbit in an exclusive Scottish festival appearance, to name but a few.
