CELEBRATING that this is the year of Creative Scotland and of Big Dance 2012, BBC ALBA is offering viewers another chance to watch popular series ‘Dannsa: Scotland is Dancing’.
Over the course of this vibrant and highly energetic television series, viewers will follow six different dance groups from around Scotland through the highs and lows of rehearsals, competitions and performances.
Presented by dance enthusiasts Anne Morrison and Kevin Walker, the eleven part series captures the variety, diversity, and incredible talent of Scotland today.
Throughout the series viewers are introduced to some of the dancers who share their life challenges and inspirations for dance, as well as their aspirations whether it is the road to the professional dance world or a weekly hobby.
The first show of the series – which starts broadcast on Monday, June 11th – offers a whistle-stop tour of all six different dance companies.
And an end of series performance special in which all six groups showcase their talent on the same stage for one night only rounds off this popular show.
