Calling all Bragar School alumni - Urras Coimhearsnachd Bhràdhagair agus Àrnoil (Bragar and Arnol Community Trust) need your help!
The Trust is planning an exhibition of photographs and artefacts relating to Bragar School to be held in the former school itself in December 2013.
The group are seeking class and staff photographs and images of school activities covering the schools history of 1878-2012 to feature in the exhibition.
If you have photographs or items that you are willing to share then please bring them along to the open evening at the former Bragar School on Tuesday, September 3rd.
The evening will start at 7pm with the AGM of the Urras, this will be followed by tea and cake where members of the group will be on hand to receive, scan and return images to you straight away until 9.30pm.
If you are able to date the images and identify individuals within them, please do make a note of these and bring them along too!
If you are unable to attend in person but have items you wish to contribute, please contact Anne Campbell (01851 710636) or David Powell (01851 822750) or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for copies to be made.
A facebook page, Bragar School Memories, has also been established where people can share photographs and memories.
An event to help identify and name individuals in the images will be held in the autumn before the exhibition is mounted in December.
Copies of all images will be deposited with Comann Eachdraidh an Taobh Siar (West Side Historical Society) so that a permanent record is created.
This project is supported by Urras Coimhearsnachd Bhràdhagair agus Àrnoil, Comann Eachdraidh an Taobh Siar and Tasglann nan Eilean Siar (Hebridean Archives) with funding from Bòrd na Gaidhlig.
