Showcasing the potential of the recently refurbished Stornoway Town Hall is the name of the game this month as two weeks of exhibitions, events and much more are presented.
Organised by the Town Hall Users Group, with cooperation from Comhairle nan Eilean Sair, the Showcase weeks are designed to ensure all in the community are aware of the potential and opportunities the refurbished Town Hall now offers.
The first Showcase Week will take place from Monday, July 15th to Thursday 18th – and locals, visitors, and Hebridean Celtic Festival-goers are all invited to pop in and enjoy a look around.
Throughout the week there will be a number of local art and photograph exhibitions, Historical Society shows and indigenous crafts on display, as well as various charity stalls, including items of furniture provided by the Bethesda Home and Hospice charity shop.
The furniture will be used within the exhibits, but is also available for purchase, with funds going to Bethesda.
To be confirmed are evening events, with music and dancing on the cards to truly showcase the Town Hall’s potential.
The second Showcase Week will take place from Monday, July 29th to Friday, August 2nd, with a Murder Mystery event rounding things off on the Friday night.
