Fire at Leverburgh School

FIRE trucks attended a call to Harris' Leverhulme Memorial School on Wednesday night after a fluorescent tube light went on fire.
The fire and rescue teams were called out to the Leverburgh school at 10 to eight and attended for an hour and a half to ensure that the minor spark was fully extinguished.

The school suffered slight smoke damage in the room with the said light, but the building, which is completely safe and operable, has been released for use again calming any fears that may have been raised for the South Harris Show on July 29
