Health Minister to visit Uist and Barra

HEALTH Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP will visit the Western Isles next week to open the new Endoscopy Unit at the Uist and Barra Hospital.
The Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing will arrive on Tuesday morning (July 1) and tour GP practices in North Uist before heading to the Hospital for the formal opening.

Ms Sturgeon, who will be accompanied by two Government officials, will also see an example of joint working between NHS Western Isles and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in the care unit in Daliburgh.

They will then travel over to Barra and visit St Brendans Hospital.
