STORNOWAY Port Authority Board at its recent meeting was advised of Comhairle nan Eilean Siar's allocation of £75,000 capital sum towards the Inner Harbour Regeneration project.
Members were reminded of the completion of the Feasibility Study in 2007 by Land Use Consultants which was funded by Stornoway Port Authority, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and HIE Innse Gall.

With the allocation of the £75,000 the members were of the view that the first part of a potential funding package was now in place, and it was decided to invite a representative of Inverness based Engineering and Development Consultancy Mott Macdonald Group Ltd to Stornoway to advise the Port Authority and its partners as to the best option to exercise with a view to submitting an application for European Funding later on in the year to enable delivery of the project.
