New films on beavers and sea eagles are now available to view on the Scottish Government website.
The short videos document the recent visit to Norway by Minister for Environment Michael Russell where he visited both species in their natural habitat.

Mr Russell recently approved the reintroduction to Scotland of the European beaver and also we
lcomed a batch of sea eagle chicks to be released in Scotland - the same chicks featured in the video.

He said: "Norway is a fascinating country and one which has a rich and varied biodiversity, including these two exciting species, which were once native to Scotland.

"The beaver is a charismatic, resourceful little mammal and this short clip is an excellent illustration of them in their natural habitat - a sight which I expect to see in Scotland very soon.

"The sea eagle is a truly magnificent bird of prey and is one of the cornerstones of Scotland's species reintroduction program.

"I was very proud to welcome these chicks to Scotland as an extension to the program last week and look forward to seeing them flourish in the wild.

"I would urge anyone with an interest in Scottish wildlife to investigate both these films and I hope they will find them interesting and informative."
