The star of the recent Paris Fashion Week has placed a "significant order" with Harris Tweed Hebrides (HTH) at Shawbost, the company confirmed this week.
Belgian designer Dries Van Noten won rave reviews for his menswear collection, which featured Harris Tweed and other traditional fabrics.

In the New York Times, the paper's fashion critic noted the use of Harris Tweed – "symbolic of the old-style English gentleman" – and commented: "Over the last few years, Mr Van Noten has moved from the ethnic to modern classics with skill and style.

HTH chief executive, Iain Angus Mackenzie, confirmed that Van Noten's company has now placed "a significant order" with the Shawbost mill.
He said: "We were delighted to work with him and to produce exactly what his collection required. It is another boost for Harris Tweed that it has been so well received."
