Police on Lewis were called to a house in Ranish, Lochs yesterday afternoon (Wednesday) following the sudden death of a 19-year-old female.
The death occurred within her home address and her next of kin have been informed.
Police say they are pursuing many lines of enquiry into this death and a report is to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal at Stornoway.
At request of deceased's family no further details are being released at this time.
A post mortem is due to be carried out.
