Update on industrial action

COMHAIRLE offices at Stornoway and Balivanich will be closed to the public on Wednesday (August 20) due to industrial action.
Offices at Castlebay and Tarbert will be open as usual, but may be subject to limited service.
Libraries across the Western Isles will be closed to the public and
some mobile library services will be affected.
Comhairle sports facilities will be closed except at Lionel and Shawbost where the pools are expected to open as usual. Harris Sports Centre will also be open.
It is anticipated that other Comhairle premises will be closed.
Services for the most vulnerable, including Residential and Home Care, are exempt from the action.
