Sùlaisgeir – a living tradition, an exhibition by Comunn Eachdraidh Nis, in Sgoil Chrois, Ness, will be held tonight (Friday 18 May) at 7.30pm and on Saturday 19 May from 10am–4pm.
It will feature previously unseen video and photographs taken by the by the men of Sùlaisgeir, and offer you the chance to taste the local delicacy ‘guga’ in the only place in the UK still licensed to hunt solan geese.
It is being held as part of the Festival of Museums which includes exhibitions taking place all over Scotland.
Unfortunatly the event Dealbhaich a-màireach bho eachdraidh an dè - Picture the Past, Create the Future! which was to take place in Museum nan Eilean and An Lanntair Arts Centre this weekend will not be taking place.
