Put the pedal to the metal this week for the 2016 Rally Hebrides.

Taking place on Friday and Saturday, August 19th and 20th, more than 35 rally cars of all makes and models will be making their way to Stornoway.

This non-competitive rally event is run by Lewis Car Club and aims to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The rally kicks off with the first car due on stage one in the Lewis Castle grounds on Friday at 7.53pm.

On Saturday the rally will continue at the early hour of 7.52am on the Lewis Wind turbine gravel track for Stages SS4 and 5.

The rally moves to the Arnish Fabrication Yard stages where the drivers are put through their paces on a fast, bendy tarmac road.

After a service break at the Central Service Comhairle car park the rally moves onto the Melbost Farm Stage with the first car due at 1.16pm.

The cars head to the last stage of the day at Lewis Motorsports facility at Creed Park at 3.30pm. This is a family friendly stage.
