Big turnout for RET rally

The level of opposition to the removal of Road Equivalent Tariff (RET) was clear for all to see on Saturday as a procession of more than 50 vehicles moved through the town.

Organised by the Outer Hebrides Transport Group (OHTG) the protest and rally conveyed a stong message to the Scottish Government.

OHTG Co-ordinator Gail Robertson said she was overwhelmed by the support at the protest and rally.

Comhairle Leader Angus Campbell also spoke at the rally as did local haulier David Wood and Calum Campbell from Polybox.
