Burns Night celebrations across the Western Isles

Burns night celebrations were held across the Western isles last week.

Western Isles MSP Alasdair Allan, who is Minister with responsibility for schools and the Scots Language in the Scottish Government, took part in an event at Sgoil an Taobh Siar where he recited Tam o’ Shanter during the day and gave the Address to the Haggis in the evening.

The Western Isles Conservative Association also held a Burns supper in the County Hotel, Stornoway on Friday evening and a Burns Suppers was held in Sandwick Community Centre for the Melbost, Branahuie and Braighe Road Residents Association.
