New Baby – The best wishes of the community are sent to Steven and Marion Rae Graham, Inverness, on the birth of a daughter Anna Elizabeth on Friday August 2nd.

Marion Rae’s family home is at Dunarin and we remember proud parents and grandparents Donald John and Lisa at this happy time.

Services – In the absence of the usual minister, who is preaching in America, services in Scalpay Free Church (Continuing) last Sunday were conduced by Rev. John Macleod, senior Minister of Duthil-Dores.

In the Free Church the preacher last weekend was Hamish Taylor, Flodabay, as the minister was conducting the services’ in Lerverburgh.

Test Success- Congratulations to James Macrae, 6 Creag Aonach, on passing his PVC test in Glasgow on Friday July 26th. James already had his HGV licence and this latest success means, like his father and mother, he is now qualified to drive coaches. Well done James!

New position – Alexander Macleod, whose family home is at Fairwinds, has been appointed Bank of Scotland Branch Manager in Gairloch. Alexander served formerly with the bank in Inverness, Dingwall and Beauly and we wish him well in his new prestigious appointment.

New Resident – Catherine Macleod, 4 Parkview Terrace, is at this time resident in Dun Eisdean. And we wish her every blessing in that excellent facility.
