Members of Stornoway RNLI volunteer crew were delighted to receive a cheque from the Stornoway Co=operative recently.

A total of £824.97 was donated to the local lifesavers, proceeds from the stores Book Stall and donation buckets; as well as staff taking part in a ‘Wear It Orange’ day held on the charity’s annual fundraiser SOS Day in January.

Pictured from the Stornoway RNLI are Tony Morrison (mechanic/crew); Martin Murray (crew) and John MacLeod (crew) with Co-op staff Maggie and Neen Thompson; John Styles; Ian MacKay; Karen Chisholm and Malina Macleod.

And the lifesaving RNLI charity turned 190 this week - celebrating its momentous birthday on Tuesday March 4th!
