Coldest summer night temperature since 1888

If you thought it was the coldest June you can remember, you may just be correct as the Stornoway Gazettte’s weather correspondent Eddie Graham recorded -0.2C in the town overnight on June 6th.

The arrival of summer doesn’t look set to happen any time soon unfortunately with weather forecasts showing an average of 11C for the coming days.
