The Western Isles Conservative Association has announced the selection of Mark Brown as their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Westminster election.
Mark, 41, manages a portfolio of Small and Medium Scottish-based Enterprises for a global independent Invoice Financier.
He said: “I am proud and honoured to have been selected as the Scottish Conservative candidate for the Western Isles. Having first visited the Outer Hebrides some 23 years ago and with regularity over the past two decades I am delighted to have returned to seek election in May.
“My message is a simple one. I believe that it is time for change and a time for real leadership at Westminster.
“This will only come from understanding the needs and aspirations of the people that politicians are here to serve. Politicians must stop seeing themselves as a special breed, destined to be ‘statesmen’.
“I will be someone who will put local people first, someone who will understand their problems and represent and fight for their interests. My number one priority is to help people make the best of their lives.
“Last September, the Western Isles electorate delivered a message. A message that saw our United Kingdom saved. A message that saw our Scottish Parliament strengthened.
“This May, I encourage the Western Isles electorate to continue delivering in the best interests of Scotland. Delivering a vote for the only Party with a long-term economic plan that is working hard for Scotland.
“The only party able to offer greater security, economic growth and more opportunities for young people.
“This can only be achieved by electing a strong Conservative voice to represent the Western Isles at Westminster on May 10th.”
