Through the Horshader Rural Support and Connect Project MIDAS training has been offered to the first team of volunteer drivers, with a second team being offered training later this month.

The training ensures basic proficiency in driving the minibus and passenger safety.

Angela Macleod, Manager, commented: “We are greatly encouraged and proud of our team of volunteer drivers who are willing to give up their time to serve the community. By having a pool of volunteers we are able to offer evening/weekend minibus services to the community as requested. We would like to congratulate them all on receiving their certificates.”

The Rural Connect and Support project provides handyman and minibus services to the local community and has in excess of 166 members and employs a fulltime driver/handyman and a part time Admin officer.
