Ferry disruption

Many ferry services are on amber alert today (Tuesday) due to an adverse weather forecast.

Sailings between Uig-Lochmaddy and Tarbert may be cancelled at short notice and the same applies to services between Leverburgh and Berneray.

Sailings on Wednesday morning from Lochboisdale to Oban via Castlebay have been cancelled due to the forecast.

The 6am sailing from Lochboisdale and the 7.50am from Castlebay have been cancelled and the next sailings will be on Thursday April 2nd.

There are due to be extra sailings on the Tarbert-Uig-Lochmaddy route this weekend due to a high volume of traffic.

On Friday April 3rd there will be additional sailings from Lochmaddy at 8pm arriving in Uig at 9.45pm.

Another service will leave Uig at 10pm and arrive in Lochmaddy at 11.45pm.

On Sunday April 5th the ferry will depart Tarbert at 7am and arrive in Uig at 8.40am. The 9am to Lochmaddy has been cancelled.

The ferry will depart Uig at 9am and arrive in Lochmaddy at 10.45am.

Normal timetable will resume from Lochmaddy at 11.15am.
