Flybe franchise carrier, Loganair is offering customers fixed price flights flying between Stornoway and Inverness this summer.
Valid between July 5th and August 19th, Air Discount Scheme members can travel to Inverness on Fridays and return on Mondays for as little as £89 return, regardless of the time of booking.
The flight times of these fixed rate return services are: Depart Stornoway 1820 on Fridays and return 1710 Mondays – Round trip £89.
A fixed-rate service is quite uncommon for the aviation industry, with pricing generally tiered to depend upon the time of booking in relation to date of travel.
Flybe are promoting to customers they will only pay one simple low fare, even if booking a few hours before departure.
This set rate return fare has been designed to let customers from Stornoway enjoy a long weekend on the Scottish mainland, visiting the historic city of Inverness.
The popular Inverness Highland Games take place on 20th July as part of the Inverness summer festival, allowing tourists to experience all the city has to offer.
Phil Preston, chief operating officer at Loganair, said: “There is a large amount of interest from people wishing to travel from Stornoway to the mainland, specifically during the summer months.
“Taking this into account, we’ve decided to offer fixed rate services to our customers enabling them to take the opportunity to visit Inverness and other parts of the mainland from Friday to Monday during this time.”
The fares are available to book on www.flybe.com/ads and are valid from July 5th until August 19th at the fixed prices shown above.
