Barvas Hall is the place to be this Friday, December 4th as local bands ‘New Tradition’ and ‘Ness Melodeon Band’ finish off the evening with a grand ceilidh.

The fundraising event is at the request of Ian “Sgadan” Macleod, originally from Bragar but now living in Cumbernauld.

Ian was diagnosed with PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) in 2013 and his wish is to raise awareness and as much money as possible for research into the disease.

The evening kicks off at 7.30 prompt with several rounds of bingo followed by a Wheel of fortune to which some fantastic prizes have been donated.

Then to round off the evening there is plenty entertainment with local artistes supporting the two excellent bands.

Organisers Derek Pluto Murray (MC for the evening) and Ali Maclennan are delighted with the generosity of businesses and individuals already and promise the evening is going to be a great night of craic, ceilidh and charity.

Derek commented: “Entry is free so all this entertainment is provided for nothing but your time, so please try and be there.”
