Have your say

Do you struggle to tell your kidney vetch from your bird’s foot trefoil? Are you bamboozled by the different species of orchids? If so, this is the walk for you!

The Outer Hebrides are home to some of the finest machair in the world. On Saturday 22nd June the North Harris Trust and Curracag – the Western Isles Natural History Society – will be running a short walk around beautiful Huisinis.

It will be a great opportunity to learn about the beautiful plants of this special habitat and the abundant wildlife it supports.

The walk starts 2pm at Huisinis car park and will last approximately two hours. The cost is £4, but the walk is free to Curracag members and anyone who joins on the day.
