Harbourmaster appointed

Stornoway Port Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Tony Morrison to the position of Harbourmaster.

Mr. Morrison was educated at the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway, and is a Marine Engineer by profession and is also a certificated RNLI Coxswain currently serving as Depute Cox on the Stornoway Lifeboat. He and his family live in the village of Sandwick near Stornoway.

Mr. Morrison’s working life to date has focused largely around Stornoway Harbour and he already has many years of experience in dealing with a significant number of the Port Authority’s customers and stakeholders.

Chairman of the Port Authority, Captain Robert J M Frater said he was delighted that Mr. Morrison had accepted the position and he and the Board very much looked forward to working with him as part of the team at Stornoway Harbour.
