Hydrodynamic Study meeting in South Uist

THE results of the South Ford Hydrodynamic Study will be discussed at a public meeting in March which will take place in South Uist, not Barra as reported in this week’s Stornoway Gazette article.

The study began in October 2008 and has been looking at the cause and effect linkages between coastal processes and coastal erosion and flooding.

A council spokesperson confirmed that – although dates and times have not yet been finalised – the draft findings report will be heard by the public at a meeting in South Uist.
