THE LATEST musical talent from the Western Isles went worldwide yesterday as Fiona Martin’s debut EP – ‘The Blue Hour’ – became available on digital download (iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify) on Monday, February 27th.

Born and bred in Harris, where she still resides, Fiona has been singing and playing piano, taught by her talented mother, since she was a young girl.

In her early 20s and currently studying to be a nurse, the sparks of her musical collaboration with Keith Morrison of Wee Studio and Face The West began three years ago when she was singing backing vocals with the Sean Harrison Band in support of Face The West.

Since then, Fiona and Keith have been writing and producing songs together at Wee Studio, as well as some help from incredible local musician friends to create the refreshing new release.

You can find out more about Fiona’s new EP in her feature interview in this week’s Stornoway Gazette, out Thursday, March 1st.
