AN audience at least 120 strong displayed their support for the Scotland for Marriage campaign attending a public meeting last night (Monday, April 30th), delivered by The Christian Institute, Care, and the Evangelical Alliance, Scotland.

Those present were asked to stand up for traditional marriage by praying about the issue, being prepared to speak effectively about it, to contact the local MSP and seven regional MSPs, and to sign the Scotland for Marriage petition.

The Scotland for Marriage campaign is in favour of retaining the current legal definition and opposed to government proposals to re-define the statute of marriage for the inclusion of same-sex relationships.

For a full report on the meeting, see this week’s Stornoway Gazette, out on Thursday, May 3rd.
