Offers in excess of £950,000 are being sought for the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel, the UK’s most westerly hotel.
The iconic hotel, made famous recently in the Channel 4 TV series ‘An Island Parish’,overlooks the Tangasdale Beach.
The 39-bedroom hotel was built in 1973 to look like the upturned hull of a shipwreck. The hotel sale - which also includes both staff accommodation and owner’s accommodation - is being overseen by property agents Knight Frank.
Current owners, Teresa Jenkins, Guy Adams and their family, have run the hotel profitably, despite only trading for half the year.
