Levels of shellfish toxin back to safe levels

Monitoring work undertaken on behalf of the Food Standards Agency has identified that the high levels of shellfish toxins identified in East Loch Roag in Lewis on 13th June this year have returned to safe levels.

High levels of shellfish toxins identified in Loch Leurbost in Lewis on 17th July have also returned to safe levels.

The warning against eating shellfish from these area has now been lifted.
