The Lewis Provincial Mod will take place in Stornoway next week, bringing together pupils from schools across the islands for a week of competitions and performances.

The programme – running from June 3rd to 7th – will feature Primary and Secondary competitors who will take part in oral, drama, solo, folk group, choral and instrumental competition.

A choral performance event for Primary 1-4 children will take place on Friday afternoon in the Town Hall.

Evening events will include the Ceilidh Group competition at 7pm on Tuesday in An Lanntair; the Primary and Secondary Traditional Signing competitions at 6.30pm in the Caladh Inn on Wednesday, and the Prize-Winners’ Concert in the Nicolson Assembly Hall at 7pm on Friday.

A dance featuring the Susan MacFadyen Ceilidh Band will take place in the Sea Angling Club following the Prize-Winners’ Concert.
