Members of the Western Isles Tour Guide Association (WITGA) are looking for new recruits with linguistic skills.
This Association of professionally trained Guides was established in 1998 and provides a valuable service to visitors.
This season over 20 cruise liners have booked into Stornoway port requesting guiding services in a range of languages.
Currently 27 Guides provide that service but more people with linguistic skills are needed.
Guides who complete the training will be engaged for paid work this summer. People fluent in Finnish, Swedish Spanish or Italian, and willing to undergo training, should contact Joan Morrison at Ness Hall on 810 353.
