Local Care Inspector Celebrates New Qualification

A care inspector from the Isle of Lewis has been recognised by the Scottish Government and the country’s care regulator for her efforts in improving standards of care in the Western Isles area.

Ishbel Macdonald, based with the Care Inspectorate’s Inspection Team covering the Western Isles, was one of 40 staff recognised for their efforts in completing the Regulation of Care Award (RoCA) (Scotland) certificate by Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.

Ishbel, who has worked for the Care Inspectorate for more than five years and has responsibility for registration, inspection, complaint and enforcement in the area said she was pleased her personal accomplishment would yield important benefits for all connected with the care sector.
