The former Chancellor of the Exchequer will be on Lewis on Monday 9th for a talk in Stornoway Town Hall.

With next Monday marking the ‘100 days to go’ point in the referendum campaign, Alistair Darling will address a public meeting in Stornoway in recognition of his own island roots.

The former Chancellor of the Exchequer will head for Lewis following a major speech in Glasgow as the campaign enters the home strait. He will speak at Stornoway Town Hall on Monday 9th June at 7.30pm.

Alistair said: “The campaign to maintain our place within the United Kingdom is reaching out to ever corner of Scotland.

“My personal connection is with Lewis so it seemed the appropriate place from which to send that message.”
