Members of the community in Barra are being encouraged to attend a public meeting on Thursday, to discuss the most recent progress on the project to replace St Brendan’s Hospital.
The meeting is set to take place in Castlebay Community School at 7.30pm.
The outline business case for the replacement health and social care facilities in Barra will be discussed and senior staff from both NHS Western Isles and Comhairle nan Eilean Siar will be in attendance.
Everyone with an interest in the new health and social care facilities in Barra is encouraged to attend.
Chief Executive of NHS Western Isles, Gordon Jamieson, said: “We are now at a crucial stage of the project and we look forward to engaging again with members of the local community, so that everyone is kept fully informed about the project and the progress that is being made.
“At our next meeting, we will be sharing the key points in the outline business case, which contains detailed information about what the new facilities could look like in the future. As always, there will also be the opportunity for people to ask questions.”
