The Post Office has announced they will not be moving their Bayhead Branch to Engebret Ltd Filling Station in Stornoway.

A public consultation was carried out in December and January and the Post Office has now made their decision.

In a statement, a spokesperson said: “The Post Office has reviewed the proposal taking into account a wide range of factors including the responses received as part of the consultation process and the views expressed at the public meeting. After careful consideration we have decided not to proceed with the proposed move of Bayhead Post Office and the branch will continue to operate from its existing location.”
