Have your say on council cuts
The final round of public consultation meetings on the Comhairle’s budget will kick off tonight (Wednesday).
Public meetings will be held throughout the Western Isles over the next three weeks giving island residents the chance have their say before the budget for the next year is set by the Comhairle in February.
The council has to find more £5million of savings over the next year and there are undoubtedly difficult choices to be made.
A series of meetings were held in the islands at the end of last year which attracted over 450 people coming to discuss a range of different subjects.

Thursday January 10 - Southend Community Hall, Daliburgh - 7.30pm

Thursday January 17 - Town Hall, Stornoway - 7.30pm
Tuesday January 22 - Balallan Community Centre - 7.30pm
Tuesday January 29 - Barvas Hall - 7.30pm
Thursday January 31 - Uig Community Centre - 6pm
Thursday January 31 - Bernera Community Centre - 8pm
