Island ferries cancelled

WITH storm force winds battering the Western Isles, ferry travel to and from the islands has today been cancelled.

Due to adverse weather, the 10.25am sailing from Ullapool today (Wednesday, January 30th) and the 1.50pm sailing from Stornoway have been cancelled.

Weather permitting, the next sailing will be at 5.35pm from Ullapool this evening, and customers are advised to contact their port of departure for more information.

The 9am sailing from Berneray and the 10.10am sailing from Leverburgh have both been called off and the situation to be reviewed again at 10.45am regarding the 11.45am sailing from Berneray and the 3.15pm sailing from Leverburgh.

And also cancelled are the Tarbert-Uig 7.30am and 4pm sailings, as well as the Uig-Tarbert 2pm sailing.

Normal timetable will resume on Thursday, January 31st, weather permitting and CalMac apologise for any inconvenience caused.
